Only a small fraction feel very supported in their roles. Half feel only somewhat supported, while 42% feel not very or not at all supported.Recognition and value

More staff and realistic timelines to reduce workload pressures.
Enhanced mentoring, training, and career development opportunities.
Healthier work environments, with safer practices, reduced toxicity and better management.
These insights underscore the urgent need for media organisations to invest in people, not just projects. Sustainable careers, improved wellbeing and recognition for contributions aren’t just “nice-to-have” - they are essential for thriving creative industries.
