Emma Dobinson knows what it feels like to question whether you are in the right place.
She spent 25 years building a career she was proud of - working in global TV, film and media production, managing teams, leading programmes and working across cultures and continents. From the outside, it looked like everything was going well.
But she also saw what the industry could do to people. The burnout that got normalised. The brilliant editors and producers who quietly stopped believing in themselves. The middle managers carrying enormous emotional weight with no guidance or support. The freelancers who felt invisible between contracts.
Those experiences - and a growing recognition that the industry needed something different - led Emma to coaching, and ultimately to founding Creative Reset.
Whether you’re an individual looking for clarity or a company ready for change - let’s talk.
Why Creative Reset exists
Creative Reset was founded on a simple belief - that the creative industries are full of talented, thoughtful, deeply capable people who are too often under-supported, underestimated or simply exhausted.
Emma wanted to create a space where those people could stop, breathe and actually think - not just about their next career move but about what they want their work to mean, what kind of life they are building and who they want to be in it.
Coaching is not about being told what to do. It is about having someone genuinely in your corner - someone who asks the right questions, who will not let you hide from the answers and who believes you are capable of more than you are currently giving yourself credit for.
That is what Creative Reset aims to provide for every client it works with.
Who Creative Reset works with
Creative Reset works with creative professionals and media organisations - producers, directors, editors, journalists, creative leaders, freelancers, middle managers and the companies that want to support them better.
Many of the individuals Emma coaches are mid-career. They are experienced and capable, but something has shifted - the confidence, the direction, the sense of purpose. Some are navigating a significant transition. Some simply know they want something different but cannot quite see what it is. Some are exhausted and need space to figure out what actually matters to them.
On the organisational side, Creative Reset works with broadcasters, production companies, film schools and creative businesses that want to build cultures where their people - including their freelancers and middle managers - feel genuinely supported, not just deployed.
‘Emma helped me regain direction and confidence in my creative career. She was empathetic, humanistic and held me to account professionally. I can't recommend her enough.’
- Matilda, Business Owner
How Emma works
Emma's coaching style is warm, direct and focused on what is real. There are no generic five-step plans or off-the-shelf solutions. Every coaching relationship is different and every programme is built around the specific person or organisation Emma is working with.
Emma listens carefully and asks questions that go to the heart of what matters. She challenges when that will help and creates space to think and reflect when that is what is needed. She will celebrate progress honestly and hold clients to account with care.
Emma brings 25 years of lived experience inside the media industry to every session - which means she understands the culture, the pressures, the language and the specific challenges of creative work in a way that is hard to replicate.
As a neurodivergent thinker herself, Emma creates space for non-linear thinking and different ways of processing. Coaching sessions are a place where people do not need to fit a mould - they can show up exactly as they are.
Sessions are available online or in-person, flexible and entirely confidential.
‘I felt contained and supported, but never restricted. Emma adapted her techniques specifically for me - and she did it all with a big smile and a wonderful sense of humour.’
- Louisa, Therapist
